Tour overview

This 3 Days tour takes you to visit Uganda’s smallest savannah national park and the only park closest to Kampala – Lake Mburo National Park combined with a tour around the second deepest lake in Africa – Lake Bunyonyi. You shall drive across the equator to the southern hemisphere through small villages and towns across rolling hills of the Kigezi Highlands dotted with tea, banana and pineapple plantations into the Wakanda world masterpiece.

You shall enjoy a nature walk at Lake Mburo National Park as you walk along zebras, giraffe and lots of antelope plus a boat cruise at Lake Bunyonyi combined with a ziplining experience across the lake. You shall travel in a comfortable 4×4 safari vehicle driven by a professional english speaking driver guide, stay at handpicked lodges and resorts with amazing views of the natural world.

Day 1: Leave Kampala

Early today, your shall be met by our driver guide for your transfer to the Wakanda world master piece. He shall brief you through the itinerary and thereafter start the transfer driving towards the countryside across small villages and towns with rolling hills dotted with tea, banana and pineapple plantations.

You shall stop by Lake Mburo National Park for your 1 hour nature walk alongside zebras, giraffes, buffalo, lots of antelope, warthogs among others in this little gem, You shall thereafter have a buffet lunch at Igongo Cultural museum before contnuing the journey to Lake Bunyonyi, the place of small birds.

After your lunch, the drive shall take you into the Kigezi Highlands, also known as the Switzerland of Africa. The rolling hills and valleys add beauty to the menu, stop overs for siteseeing can be ,ade at strategic points for photogenic moments. You shall reach Lake Bunyonyi in the late evenings, check in to your booked resort hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Lake Bunyonyi

Wake up lazily for your breakfast set at the restaurant overlooking the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi. Your day shall start with a 1 hour island boat tour that takes you to visit the most sought after islands of lake bunyonyi including the famous punishment island where girls that got pregnat before marriage were left to starve to death.

The boat ride shall take you to the Extreme Adventure Island for your Ziplining adventure across the lake. From here transfer back to the hotel for lunch and spend the evening at leisure. You can choose to go hiking to the top of the world where you can view most of the 29 islands of the lake or go on a community encounter or simply stay at your hotel reading a book or simply enjoying the views from your hotel room balcony.

Day 3: Departure

After your breakfast today, you shall check out of the hotel for the transfer back to Kampala with enroute lunch and a stop over at the equator for the equator experience, choose to buy some souvenirs from the curio shops and thereafter contniue with the journey to Kampala reaching in the early evening.

You shall be dropped off at your hotel or home in Kampala/Entebbe.
